About Connect Midlands

Connect Midlands is a not-for-profit network for entrepreneurs, businesses and investors.

Our prime purpose is to act as a facilitator and networking vehicle, uniting emerging technology businesses with the resources they need to succeed. Our focus is on improving early stage companies' understanding of, and access to, equity based finance of up to £5m.

With a comprehensive programme of practical events across the Midlands, we are the regional network for new and growing science, engineering and technology (SET) businesses. We are committed to playing a fundamental part in enabling these entrepreneurs to succeed.

Connect Midlands was officially launched through the Investment Conference, in Warwickshire in 2001, and we are part of a global Connect network.

Connect Midlands is operated by the University of Warwick which shares Connect's vision of assisting the development of regional economies, and part funded by emda (the East Midlands Development Agency) and the European Regional Development Fund.

Connect InvoRed

Connect InvoRed is our investment readiness programme which helps high growth, science, engineering or technology based companies seeking private equity from £15k seed funding through to £5m institutional funding.

Delegates enrol on either our Amber or Green stream programmes (dependent upon their requirements, skills and stage) and can attend a wide range of free or heavily subsidised workshops, or receive one-to-one coaching from an experienced business mentor.

Companies who develop strong propositions may be selected to present at our exclusive investment raising platforms such as Springboard, Round Table or our annual Investment Conference.
